Ed Jent
Ed and his wife, Patricia, were married in 1986; he highly recommends that you get to know his wife. They have two grown children: Hunter and Spencer. Hunter drives for Performance Food Group and is married to Ashley; Spencer is a Special Ops Rescue Swimmer with the US Navy. Ed and his wife also have 2 grandchildren: Elijah and Hallie.
Ed Jent became the pastor of Round Pond Church on May 5th, 2024. He has served churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas. He is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary (MARE) and Western Kentucky University (BA). Missions have been a big part of his life and he has led teams to China (11 times), Guatemala (2 times), Honduras, Poland, Spain, and Chile. His mission experience also includes playing for Athletes in Action (1983). He played on their Pacific team in the Philippines, Guam, Saipan, Palua, Gram, Yap and Korror. He has also led mission trips stateside in Michigan, Missouri, Texas, and Kentucky.
Ed Played baseball collegiately at WKU (1983-1985) and was a co-captain. He still is number 3 on the all time saves list and led the team in appearances each of the three years he was there. He led the team with four wins in 1984. He began baseball chapel for the team in 1985. Notably, Ed was selected to attend Walt Disney’s College Training Program where he was taught by their top executives.
Golf, reading, fishing, hunting and hiking are among his favorite hobbies. He is an avid user of Logos Bible software and enjoys studying inductively. Ed became a Christian in seventh grade, but really began growing when he became involved in FCA and the Navigators in college; it was then the Bible really became the focal point of his life. Seeing people discover their spiritual gifts and begin using them to serve Jesus is one of his greatest joys.
